As NFL free agency begins in earnest this week, it’ll be interesting to see where veteran players like former Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram wind up. The 30-year-old, two-time Pro Bowl tight end appears set for a change of scenery after 108 career games.
Engram spent the past three seasons with the Jaguars after playing his first five years with the New York Giants. Fir his eight-year career, Engram has 4,922 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns with an approximate value of 40, per Pro-Football-Reference.com. His three-year, $41.250 million deal with the Jaguars is over after the franchise released him on Friday.
As part of our Florida sports betting coverage, BetFlorida.com broke down the odds for which NFL team will pick up Engram’s contract.
Team | Odds | Percent Chance |
Denver Broncos | +275 | 26.7% |
Indianapolis Colts | +450 | 18.2% |
Los Angeles Chargers | +450 | 18.2% |
New York Jets | +600 | 14.3% |
The Field | +355 | 22.0% |
The leader to land Engram out of NFL free agency limbo is the Broncos, at +275, as the AFC West club paid him a visit on Monday, KUSA-TV in Denver reported. That could pave the way for head coach Sean Payton to land a top-notch tight end early in the free agency window, but how that would change odds on betting on the NFL in Florida is unclear.
Other teams that could be in on Engram in the days to come include a trio of AFC clubs: The Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Chargers check in at +450 apiece and the New York Jets round out our list at +600. A move to the Jets would let the veteran tight end return to the Big Apple.
What we know for now is that Engram is officially on the market, now that Jacksonville has released the 30-year-old out of Ole Miss. The veteran is looking to take his talents to a new locale in 2025 after a hit-and-miss three-year stint with the Jaguars.
At Hard Rock Bet Florida Sportsbook as of March 10, the Jaguars have +10000 odds to win Super Bowl 60 in February 2026.
